Stop 4: Island of Jost Van Dyke and the Soggy Dollar Bar

The final stop is the island of Jost Van Dyke and the Soggy Dollar Bar. This island is only 4 miles long, population less than 200 and is known for its “barefoot” lifestyle. The famous Soggy Dollar Bar in White Bay received its name from the drenched dollars handed over by sailors who swam ashore for famous libations such as the Painkiller -- an intoxicating frozen concoction mixing orange juice, pineapple juice, cream of coconut and a scraping of nutmeg on top with the main pain-killing ingredient, rum. Our guests can swim in to the beach or can float in on one of our boogie boards.

There is no dock at this stop so our guests have to swim ashore and buy their drinks with their “soggy dollars.”

There are even some small shops where you can purchase everything from t-shirts to island made memorabilia.
